Got to say my friends are some of the best people out there.
This weekend we planned a trip to N Falls for a night-to go shopping in the states and enjoy some arcade games.
I wasn't aware was the surprise they had for me. I was working at an event the night before we were to leave for the trip, my friend offered to pick me up and drive me over to her house so we can all be together in the morning to leave early for the trip. I made them wait awhile and felt bad that I rushed to get my stuff together.
As we pull out from my parking lot I realized that we were going the wrong way…no one listened to me saying “ guys we are going the wrong way..” I was a tad confused about that. It was until my friend turned around and told me we are heading to the falls that night and staying in some dinky motel on the way, I was so surprised and didn’t think it was something my friends could pull off.

The drive home was rather quick as well, it included us napping for most it and catching up on our lost sleep from the weekend. The trip was a success: watching my friends spend over $200 on clothes and goodies.
Getting across to the states was amusing, and the Keg was amazing with hair and all : )

So I spent 34.33 minutes of my life watching Kanye West’s film/music video creation for Runaway….
In the first part…well I actually wasn’t sure what happened there..second part, we are in what appears to be Kanye’s house with a human bird …he starts to play music causing her to dance in a seductive. Must say I liked the costume, but what on earth is the bird representing?! I am all for the artistic music videos with social commentary, but was this too much. Recently, M.I.A had a 10 mins video as well, but that one had a clear message, no matter how graphic it was, it wasn’t being “pretentious” as this (sorry for those that disagree with this).
I am a fan of Kanye (even after the Tyler swift incident) but still, c'mon 34.33 minutes of declaring your greatness…and the MJ tribute?! Huh ?!?
I questioned myself if I was on drugs a few times during this. At 9 minutes I was waiting for the end, but nope. Watching a bird drink tea for 2 minutes? Was that necessary.
I don’t get what Kanye is trying to prove with this? Sure he answered this question in various interviews, but why? Really why??
I’ll let you be the judge: here in all its 30 minute glory
Also I would really like to see the budget for this?!

2. Living on my own downtown Toronto- being responsible for myself at all times is harder work than I thought it to be at first. Having to keep a budget for food and rent was interesting. Lesson taken away, have an alarm clock when having to work at 7 am!
y it lives up to the hype, and yes BBM is the "best thing ever"
